Statewide/National GIS Resources
Florida Geographic Data Library (FGDL) – a mechanism for distributing spatial (GIS) data throughout the state of Florida. The FGDL is warehoused and maintained at the University of Florida’s GeoPlan Center, a GIS Research & Teaching Facility.
University of West Florida Haas Center – a research and consulting arm of the University of West Florida that engages in applied research and strategy development in economics and across the social sciences
Efficient Transportation Decision Making Process (ETDM) – a Public Access Site provided through the Florida Department of Transportation Environmental Management Office. The Interactive Mapper page provides visual access to data about ETDM projects and environmental resources. This tool lets you display information over a geographic location through a custom map. (Access the “ETDM Maps” tab on the website.)

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service’s Wetlands Mapper integrates digital wetlands data with other resource information to produce timely and relevant management and decision support tools.
Florida Department of Transportation GIS – The Transportation Data and Analytics Office created and maintains the official FDOT basemap of all roads in the Roadway Characteristics Inventory (RCI). It is also responsible for the production and maintenance of numerous maps (including the Federal Aid Highway maps), GIS data layers (shapefiles and geodatabases), and custom GIS tools. Other products include iView, Florida Traffic Online, and City-to-City Mileage.
Water Data Central – the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s window on the data, environmental programs, and other useful information and reports about water that are available from the department and its partner environmental and public health agencies.
Land Boundary Information System (LABINS) – sponsored by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as a means of distributing survey-related data managed and maintained by federal and state agencies to the general surveying community.
